The integrated planning department depends on operational data from systems across the business, delivered reliably to its reporting platforms.
What we did
- Led and mentored the data engineering team responsible for the department's operational data.
- Defined the ETL and ELT processes, data warehouse design and internal systems integration on a cloud data platform.
- Set the technical direction for data processes, with a focus on scalability, performance and business value across reporting platforms.
- Led incident response and improved stability with better monitoring and root cause analysis.
- Built a skills program for data engineers covering technical training and career progression.
- Worked with senior stakeholders to find new data opportunities, and managed vendor relationships.
