Mine fleet IoT and autonomous drilling
A mobile IoT tool that reports each fleet vehicle's system information to a dashboard, plus technical lead on autonomous drilling.
The brief
The mine's operational technology team supported fleet management, drill and blast systems across the site around the clock, and needed each machine's current system information in one place.
What we did
- Designed and built the Mine Configuration Manager, a mobile IoT solution that sends each fleet vehicle's current system information to a server and shows it on a dashboard.
- Was technical lead for the site's autonomous drilling project, implementing and testing the autonomous drill system.
- Supported fleet management and drill and blast applications 24x7, working with vendors to diagnose and fix issues, and visited site regularly to update fleet and drill systems.
- Tested the rail track control monitoring and demand chain scheduling systems.
